Golden Stone Resources, LLC (GSR)
GSR was formed in 2002 by Dan Hickman. The business was designed to provide Petroleum Engineering Consulting and Natural Gas Management services for a variety of clients, leveraging over twenty years experience in southern Alberta, Montana, and Wyoming. Those services expanded to utility acquisitions, oil and gas property evaluations and natural gas scheduling on major pipelines in the area. GSR has also invested in non-operated oil and gas interests in Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, and Wyoming and provides natural gas management services to each of the operators.
A petroleum engineering graduate from Montana Tech, Dan Hickman accumulated over twenty years experience with a Montana based utility / oil and gas company. This employment provided incredible opportunities to explore most facets of the business. The experience began with drilling and reservoir engineering, to pipeline construction, to electric and gas transmission marketing, to acquisition/disposition of assets and entire companies and culminated with electric and natural gas resource acquisition. These are the core services of Golden Stone Resources, LLC.
Utilizing the utility background, GSR provides gas management services for several natural gas utilities and natural gas trading companies. These services include portfolio management, retail customer relations, supply acquisitions, nominations and scheduling, pipeline balancing, gas storage management, and wholesale marketing in Montana and Wyoming. The major clients of GSR include Jefferson Energy Trading, LLC and Energy West Resources. Acting "on behalf of" or as "agent for", GSR utilizes the gathering, transmission, and storage systems of NorthWestern Energy, Williston Basin Interstate, Colorado Interstate Gas, Cheyenne Plains, Thunder Creek, and Questar (among others) to provide natural gas services to GSR and our clients.
From an engineering and oil & gas production standpoint, GSR provides petroleum engineering consulting services for several clients. These services include annual reserve reports and economic/engineering analysis of oil & gas reserves for acquisition or disposition. Providing these services has allowed GSR to participate in certain acquisitions, acquiring non-operated interests of oil & gas properties located in Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, and Wyoming. GSR goes on to provide regional marketing for the operators.
